Oversized Screen Printing

oversized screen printed t-shirt

Need oversized screen printing? Our jumbo screen printing service could be what you’re looking for.

Bulk screen printing t-shirts and other garments can be one of the most cost effective ways to get your design onto clothing. Our jumbo screen printing service brings all of the benefits of our standard screen printing, with the added bonus of oversized coverage.

This print method is perfect if you’re keen on the finish screen printing delivers, but require a larger print area. Additionally, we can Pantone match our inks to your requirements.

While jumbo screen printing does allow for larger coverage, it is not possible to print seam to seam using this print method. If you need seam to seam printing, all-over sublimation printing is likely a better option.

5 Reasons to Screen Print

1. Extremely low cost for large print runs.
2. Rapid turnaround, ideal for tight deadlines, or big orders.
3. Highest quality, with all of our printing & finishing undertaken here in the UK.
4. Pantone matching available.
5. Ideal for screen printing t shirts requiring large coverage.

How Oversized Screen Printing T-Shirts & Garments Works

The process is very much the same as standard screen printing. Screens are made by putting a chemical emulsion on a mesh surface. Artwork is printed out on a film type paper or vellum. The screen is then exposed on a light table with the artwork under it. The light solidifies the chemicals around the design, and where the light failed to pass through, the chemical breaks down. The screen is then rinsed out and what is left is the area where the light hit.
The garment is then placed on a platen and multiple screens are used to build up the colours of the print. Once a screen is placed on a garment, a squeegee is then pulled over that screen's ink colour which pushes the ink onto the products fabric, that screen is then lifted off of the product. The platen with the product is then moved under a flash unit where it dries. Upon curing, the garment platen is brought back and the next colour screen is swung over the top of it. The entire process is automated using market leading machinery.
