Branded Fairtrade Organic T-Shirts for Divine Chocolate
Providing printed t-shirts that reflect the ethical and environmental mission embodied by the brand.
The Project
Divine is a successful independent chocolate brand available nationwide, and offering a wonderful diverse range of flavours, gifts and seasonal specialities in beautiful packaging. It is also a truly innovative business model, putting people first and proving fairer trade is commercially viable on a large scale. Unlike other Fairtrade companies, Divine Chocolate is 45% owned by the farmers in Ghana who supply its cocoa, giving them the major share of Divine’s profits.
We were approached by Divine, as they were looking to get some printed t-shirts for upcoming events; they firmly believe in Fairtrade and it’s values, so wanted to go the extra mile in ensuring their clothing was Fairtrade too.
The Solution
We provided Divine Chocolate with t-shirts certified to the highest standards. We ensured the entirety of the supply chain was certified; the cotton was Fairtrade Foundation certified, the factories were SA8000 certified, as well as being powered by renewables (excess energy is used to power local villages). Additionally the products were EU Ecolabel Certified and OEKO-TEX 100 Standard certified. We added the brands logo onto the products with the highest quality Pantone matched screen printing. We now provide a number of products to Divine Chocolate, from printed Aprons to embroidered Fleeces.
