The Project
Iris van Melsen is the founder and creative lead at Permanent Clothing, a sustainable fashion brand taking Europe by storm. The brand, was conceived with the ambition to reflect the unique individuality of the Amsterdam streetwear culture through conscious collection concepts, in a more positive and sustainable way. Iris has lead Permanent clothing to be much more than a brand, and more of a movement, promoting a sustainable, responsible future.
The rapid success of her collection, has seen her range already picked up & stocked by high-end department stores such a Selfridges.
We worked with the brand to provide them with a collection certified to the highest environmental and ethical standards in the world.
The Solution
We worked with the brand on multiple collections covering everything from garment sourcing and decoration, right through to managing the complex logistics of delivering to department stores and their respective distribution centres (for online sales).
We used a range of production techniques across the ranges, including DTG printing, Screen Printing, Embroidery, Relabelling, Bagging, Tagging, Swing Tags (made from recycled card), and more.
The brand is highly conscious of transparency, and in turn left all manufactures labels in the products (alongside their own), allowing customers to know exactly where the products came from, something truly innovative and something that has created trust and loyalty from customers. In additional, through using basic unisex t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies the brand has created garments anyone can wear, blurring the lines between men’s and women’s clothing, and creating something truly special.
This brand has taken Europe by storm and with good reason; they’re setting the standard for what streetwear should be both now and in the future, and that’s a movement, with sustainability and transparency at its core.
